Full Paper Submission

Accepted full papers should be prepared to be at most 8–9 pages long and suitable for a presentation of no more than 15 minutes during the conference. Technical equipment (computer and projector) required for presentations will be available in all halls throughout the conference.

Full papers must be prepared in accordance with the formatting guidelines specified below and submitted by October 30, 2026. Papers presented and accepted at the conference will be published as an electronic book (e-book) in a conference proceedings book with an assigned ISBN number. The proceedings book will be made available to participants after the conference.

Full papers should be prepared in Microsoft Word format and sent as an email attachment to ukags@emu.edu.tr

Publication Process and Preferences

All papers submitted to the conference will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Abstracts of accepted papers will be included in the abstract book to be published before the conference. Unless otherwise stated, papers presented at the conference will be published in the proceedings book.

The conference proceedings book will be published with an ISBN and delivered to all authors. However, authors may choose to redirect their work to the peer-review process for consideration in the Kadın/Woman 2000 Journal for Women's Studies instead of the proceedings book. This preference must be communicated to the organizing committee before the proceedings book printing process begins.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Style and Length: Papers must be prepared in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association) style. The text length should be between 3,500–5,000 words, including the bibliography. The font should be Times New Roman, 12 point, with double line spacing. Page margins should be set to 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • Author Information: The first and last names of the author(s), their institutional affiliations, valid email addresses, and contact addresses must be included completely at the beginning of the paper.
  • Tables and Figures: All tables and figures used within the text must be numbered. Titles should be placed above the table or figure, and explanations should be provided below. All images and drawings must be of suitable quality for publication.
  • Citations and References: In-text citations must follow the APA 7 style. All sources must be listed alphabetically at the end of the text under the heading "References," using a hanging indent for each entry.
  • Language and Vocabulary: The spelling of loanwords in English texts should comply with the Oxford English Dictionary and its supplements. Other foreign words should be written in italics and explained in parentheses or footnotes where necessary.
  • Institutional Identity: Papers must include the title, the author's full name in the preferred format, email address, and institutional identity information including city details. All necessary information, including tables, figures, footnotes or endnotes, and the author's correspondence address, must be submitted in full.
  • In-text Citation Format: In-text citations must follow the APA style using the author-date system (e.g., Author, 2020). For direct quotations, the page number must be specified (e.g., Author, 2020, p. 15). Additional explanations can be numbered consecutively under the heading "Notes" at the end of the text. For citations from unpublished sources, full location information must be provided (e.g., Curan, 2000: 32–34).
  • Numbering: Each table and figure must be assigned a sequence number. Titles must be above the table/figure, while descriptions and source information must be located below.
  • Visual Quality and Bibliography: Drawings and images must be of publication quality. All sources cited in the text must be listed alphabetically under "References." In the bibliography, the author's surname and initials, publication year, work title (book and journal titles in italics), place of publication, publisher, and page information must be fully specified. Full reference information is mandatory for unpublished materials.
